What in the world happened to this egg? (pic)

It looks like two eggs are together or something. This is her third egg. Has anyone every seen this before?

I've seen egg similar to that. I got a kidney bean shaped one the other day.
I'm attributing the recent rash of weird eggs to our unrelenting heat, but I don't know if that's an issue where you are?

I think this is a double yolker...it happens alot when they first start laying. Thats a really pretty colored egg

I too have seen this strange shape, it's not uncommon to see in home flocks. In commercial egg operations they get them also on a regular basis (nature) but they cull and grade any odd eggs for sale in stores.

It is normal to get odd shaped first eggs(first few) she is still trying to figure how to work the egg making process.

Yes. And there are a couple members here who have done it successfully.. though intervention was required. I don't remember their names.
