What in the world is this????

It came from Privett Hatchery. I thought he could have been a blue or chocolate magpie but I don't think he had enough splotchiness. That and his feet and beak are pretty much solid blue/green and he has a really faint eye stripe?

It does seem too dark to be a blue magpie, but maybe it's just a poor quality magpie? I don't know hardly anything about duck breeds, so I probably shouldn't even be trying, but hey. I like to put in my 2 cents.

He'd be less obnoxious if he'd behave. He's rowdy and so is his little friend. He just needs some good old fashion socializing.

What do you mean by "splotchiness"? Magpie's aren't supposed to have "splotchiness", they are supposed to have solid patches of color on their backs and heads. A splotchy Magpie is a poor quality magpie.

Peas! The answer to everything. That's how I got my ducklings to like me. Hand feed them peas and they will be your BFFs

sounds like they are a healthy duo which is good, and being talkative is what ducklings do. that's how they communicate.

By splotchiness I meant on his legs and beak
