what is a "tipster"?

I put an ad on a livestock sales website, advertising some roosters for sale. Someone responded, asking if i still had the "tipsters" for sale. What the heck do they mean?

Maybe they meant to say rooster, since thats what you had for sale. I wouldn't put it past someone to call a rooster something goofy.

Hmm, your post also got me thinking about autocorrect!

Theycould have spell check on their phone or something. Spell check twist some words arounds to funky spellings that have nothing to do with the original word. You could just politley ask the person what they meant by tipsters.
