I went by my local feed center today to get some chick starter for my 9 week old chickens, But right next to the chick starter was something called "All Purpose Feed" .
I was curious to what this feed contains and if I could feed my young and old chickens with this?
Has anybody here tried this? Thank Roo!

All purpose feed is similar to flock raiser. It may not have enough protien for baby chicks--you'd have to compare the bags to be sure.

I feed an all purpose feed, semi-local brand called Allway Kernels. It's 20% protein. I feed it to everyone from the youngest chick to the oldest hens. I offer oyster shell on the side for my laying hens.
