Now that mamas are all out and about, they won't be back up until mamas coax them into jump flying or I put some "steps" (stumps) inside.Just getting around to seeing all the baby videos - wow that wee one freaked me out with her falling! Hopefully she’s learnt to not fall off that ledge.
Getting them to roost early was the best action. 4 girls went to roost early on their own. Ginny & Betta worried me cuz they chose to run around & jump w/ each bomb noise but it was still daylight so they didn't think to go into the coop. Scooping them up to put them in the pen to run up the ramp was the best thing. I worry they'd stroke from fear but I guess these Silkies are hardier than we give them creditSo sorry to hear this, similar here also on Canada Day, and Victoria Day. Hope they are ok.
Was LF ever harsh w/ Phyllis too? Kinda makes me wonder if that caused Phyllis' sudden injury. Just wondering thinking back over our older threads... but then you know your birds bestAn Incident
Something just happened in the big run. Phyllistines came running out the left door and Sydney and Aster out the right. Lady Featherington must be in there.
Look what i found on my travels
Rats have claws to crawl up anything they wish including trees!I thought about this too but then would it be too high for rats?

Good news for the little sweetie! Sometimes I think vets all go to the same conferences... our vet always reminds us to give chicken vitamins too. He’s doing well today. He has energy and isn’t as lethargic. I thank God for small favors. The vet suggested giving him a multi vitamin and baby aspirin as I see fit.
