They are big heavy sweetie pies! Mine is about 2 and this year started laying double-yolker size eggs, but with single yolks. I got her from some people on Craigslist and she'd never been handled, she decided on her own she wanted me to pet her. I was shocked at how heavy she was! A lot heavier than she looks. She's a hatchery quality New Hampshire.
Mine is named Henny Penny and she is wonderful! She hangs out with the other birds, but never starts any trouble. She's pretty quiet, and sleeps on the lowest roost. Very low maintenance bird!
