What is color leakage? Why is it bad?

Here we go. Yellowy silver leakage. Ameraucana is either blue or lavender/Silver spangled Spitzhauben.

I have a female that had the leakage on the neck only. Was worried it was going to be male for a while but the leakage never showed up on the wings. Ill get a pic of her tomorrow. Named her pearl because it looks like a necklace around her neck.

I'd lean male. I have another one that's just starting to get his secondary traits in, and he's a male

So all leakages on the wings means it is male?

No, if it is concentrated on the shoulder, it is male. If it is more evenly distributed over the wing, it could mean female.
I had a black crossbreed hen who had gold leakage all over her body since she was heterozygous for wheaten.

Hard to say, but I think that is the pullet. The feathers are round in shape.

My/My sisters black silkie rooster has buff feathers on his wings. It looks the same on both of them but I don’t know why it won’t let me upload the other picture of his other wing. you can’t normally see it when he’s just walking around but he didn’t fully tuck his wing back after I pulled it out
