What is first 3 days food for my today born baby chicken

I heard that they do not need food for first days, but my heart feels very sad. What is preferred food for first few days from day1. Where can i get/buy that food. any suggestions please...

Chick starter, FEED THEM! They CAN go up to 3 days if shipping or mama hen waiting on more to hatch but FEED THEM!

Can I get this in local Walmart target or petsmart? any area or shop where I can go and buy. I saw them online but time constraints as chicks are born early.

I think Walmart has it, or a feed store, tractor supply...

The very best food for chicks just out of the shell, if they are inclined to want to eat anything, is minced boiled egg yolk or a mixture of white and yolk.

No special shopping trip necessary.

Can I take these chick's out in normal sun for a while? 15mins?

I am thinking as this happens with a broody hen chick's also. I have long weekend so just want to make them move on out side grass for while to feel the nature instead of incubator or broody.

Beware of direct sunlight on new chicks. Down not only doesn't protect against losing precious body heat, but it's also no protection against absorbing too much radiant heat as the sun puts out.

While being outdoors, temps permitting, it's best to avoid direct sunlight.
