What is going on between these two?

That's kind of what happened here. After they both bickered, suddenly they swam around the pool. The Pekin stood up after about 10 seconds of swimming and did a little foot dance, like rapid stomping, and continued to swim.

If only Mordecai would let people swim with him...

We used to have a drake that hogged one of the pools. Unfortunately we had too many drakes and he was too harsh on the hens so we had to get rid of him, but he eventually did calm down towards the end of the time we had him and shared. They're just greedy little youngsters!

Gabby my runner has done that, but only for a few seconds, seems like she is saying i am the queen duck here.
She doesn't do it to Zeke who I am calling her mate because they are flirting up a storm lately (just hitting maturity)
the other day she dragged my swedish drake around the pool by his head..

We love Mordecai's color and he is sweet to us, but I hate watching him hog all the pool and bite everyone out. He doesn't just chase, he bites. Since we have to rehome the two female Pekin, we will try to rehome Mordecai. Shame we don't live out in the country yet, or we could just get some more females and give them a larger area (and more watery areas) to hang out in.

I wish we could give them a bigger pool, but with water restrictions around here, we do what we can. The two smaller ones are actually easier to take care of and help us keep the water bill lower. Our bill already went up this month by a pretty penny, because we are watering the yard more and trying to give our babies as much love as possible in the realm of water.

I haven't seen them do it since that day though. That makes me feel better. Mordecai the pig is still hogging one pool though...
