WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY CHICKENS. HELP

I HAVE A BUNCH OF BABY CHICKS AND THEY ARE EATING EACH OTHERS FEATHERS OFF . I THINK THEY HAVE MITES PLEASE HELP WITH A SOLUTION. THANKS DEE

How many chicks do you have, and how old are they? What size brooder are they in? And have you actually seen any mites?

Well, I'm new to chicks too... But from what I've learned on this site…

First look at them, are their bugs on them…? Are they eating and drinking? Do they have odd stools? If so, they may be sick….

If not….

I would say that they are trying to establish a pecking order. If you have a clear light change it to a red one, apparently they can't see the blood, it calms them down and makes them less agitated.

move them to a bigger pen or just make a change in their run... boredom can cause feather picking.
