What is he?

Saw this bird yesterday. BEAUTIFUL! And BIG! Currently, we can't have roosters so that's the only reason my husband didn't load him in the car. But he wants to know what this roo is. My guess is a Jersey Giant. My girls aren't full grown yet, but they're starting to get that green shimmer on their feathers like this boy had.

the top im not sure on, is it a bantam?

the bottom is a bearded d'anver quail in color

The black one a bantam? Oh no! He was BIG! He was probably close to a 10 pounder. The spurs on that guy were incredible!

i'm leaning towards jersey giant the cocks weigh around 13lbs and hens weigh around 10lbs

yes d'anvers are a true bantam as there is not a large foul counterpart to them like there is with cochins
