What is my hen trying to tell me

It almost looks as if she’s protecting her nest from you. That is the sound my girls make when I lift them off the nest, or when a broody is getting kicked out.
Thanks Kathrine, that’s interesting. I hope she doesn’t feel threatened by me. She’s always friendly. I wasn’t sure if she wanted more chicks or something completely different. Maybe the laying flat is part of that?
 
Oh I hope not, she still has babies! I know you can’t see it but also curious about the laying flat.
it may also be worth pointing out that I go in the coop several times a day and the only time she does this is in the morning when I’m cleaning.
