I don’t see any silkie in that guy.

Hmm was assuming silkie because of the dark legs/slow maturity and ratio of silkie roos in the mixed flock he came from but he could be a mix of just about anything

Where did you get him?

I got him from a lady that had breeding sets of just about every breed out there that had gotten out of control. A hundred or so birds had escaped and free ranged chicks all over the neighbor hood. They were a good deal for 10 wk old chicks, this ones the only one that still has me guessing. He's sweet though so he gets to stay regardless.

He looks more like an Easter egger mix. As for what else could be in him, I’m not sure.

Are there small breed EE's? He's 5 months old now and crowing with but only half the size of the rest of the birds his age.
