I know it's a coturnix. Figured that out accidentally when it outgrew the button.

Now I just need to know the color and gender. I have 1 male button and 1 female coturnix. I don't want two males accidentally. Anyone help me out?

Oh wow ok that's actually extremely helpful! So I think mine is a male? He might be too young to do the foam thing but the vent is kinda small? I think I'm wrong though.

So, I'm terrible at vent sexing. My first batch of quail were pretty much all non feather sexable ones. I prefer to stick with feather sexable quail lol.

Tibetan, like I said in the last thread. By the time it is vent sexable you will probably have heard a crow, so keep watching and waiting! Still too young for foam or eggs.
