Well, I'm a simpleton, but anything that isn't all that hard to raise, and anything that doesn't just croke, because I look at it wrong.
Mearnes...yes, I could see that going on around here. I'm not up to that challenge just yet, but who knows what the future holds?
What I don't want to raise...Anything that can disembowel me with a single kick. Sorry, all birds that weigh 100+ pounds each. I shy away from any animal that can kick/stomp my light weight butt into the ground. I never want to be kicked in the face by any "LARGE" animal!
I'll take on any quail/pheasant/goose /turkey/anything that I out weigh by 20 or more pounds. Your 150 pound ostrich....You are on your own there partner!
I (well, mostly my husband) want ostrich! But it's so difficult to find any out about how to begin..... So for now we'll stick to the chicken, guinea and quail!
I'm with Sir Birdaholic on the Salmon Faverolles and my other bird, while they are not the brightest critters in the world, I'd like pure chocolate guineas or Buff Dundotte Guineas. I also want some quail and I will be getting eggs for those in about 2 weeks
