Hi I’m new here! I’m looking to get chickens again after last ones got killed and I want a very kind snuggley chicken that loves me till death. Is that possible? I had a silkie and she was so snuggly I loved her. Her name was Coco Puff! If there is a chicken out there for me let me know! I have been thinking on a black astrolop.
 
My little D'Uccles are by far the most snuggly chickens I have ever had :love
My little cockerel absolutely LOVES human time! He likes to lay in my lap and fall asleep and enjoys being held and pet. He is a good boy.
 
I am new to this site as well. I have a buff orpington which just appeared at my house so is my only experience witb a chicken; however, she loves to sit on your lap and be loved on. She will stay for a long time just talking up a storm and loves being rubbed. From what I have read its typical of the breed.

I agree with Cyprus that D'uccles are a very friendly breed. They are easily tamed and generally sweet natured. Red Sex Links are friendly too but are known for being short lived with a lifespan at about 2-3 years.

Anyway, Hope you enjoy it here as much as we all do!

It's become a real issue for me! I walk outside to start working on some project and constantly find myself wandering over to watch or check on the chickens. It's pathetic!
