What is the easiest egg to candle?

Pekin duck egg

Not only white, but almost translucent...can even see a heart beating at day 3/4...

so far for me it has been the silkie eggs.

I say Pekin ducks eggs because their shell is smoother and clearer. I can hold it up to the sun and see inside.

The brighter the white the dimmer the light you can use.

We just candled last night Leghorn and Easter Eggers. The Leghorn eggs (bright white) were clear and crisp when put up to the candler. The Easter Eggers took a bit more doing and staring.
