What is the most common predator POLL

In the 2 years that I have been keeping chickens, every one of my loses have been due to cars, and this is a back road...when people throw the joke at me of why does the chicken cross the road, I tell them I do not know because mine never make it to the other side.

Probably 80% of my losses are due to bobcats, it seems like they are always watching, coyotes are #2.

I've got secure fences, so I've never lost a bird to any predator of any sort (touch wood).

It's not that difficult to protect poultry from predators.

We got a bit complacent with our hens. For two years we didn't even have to close the front door. Especially around the Solstice, with chicken days spreading from 4am to 10:30pm (DST) I just couldn't bear to keep them in lock down until we sauntered out of bed at 8. Living in town, predators were around but a bit clueless. All that ended a few months ago. The raccoons found their way to one hen. We locked down, but started leaving the day pen door open at night still. But no, they had been coming from the trees into the day pen, not the front door. So, full lockdown. We had 2 years of freedom. I guess we were lucky.

Here in Phx... all of my losses to predators have been to
1. Hawks (adults and chicks)
2. Rats. (chicks)

and if I didn't have them penned like Fort Knox I'm certain I'd be adding coyotes to the list.
