I can't even begin to guess how much I've spent over the years on shipped eggs. Right now I have an $82.00 little roo chick. Out of $82.00 worth of shipped eggs I only ended up with one viable egg.

The most I have ever paid for birds was $70 for a trio of seramas. The roo was an absolute NUTCASE and didn't last long here, the 2 hens were nice tho and well worth the $70. My best investment was paying $25 each on 2 serama hens. I just love those 2! I would NEVER spend a fortune on hatching eggs, thats just like tossing your money out the window in my opinion especially when the PO can be sooo rough with them! The most I have sold a bird for was $40 for a nice serama cockrel. I gave 2 show quality roosters to a petting zoo free, one was a light brahma bantam the other glw bantam, when I got home from dropping them off at their new home I found someone wanted to pay $80 plus the cost of shipping for the glw! I was really kicking myself that day!

I sold a polish chick for $10, I got him for $1.50 in MPC assorted pullet mix.

I sold ready to lay Buff Orp for $20.

at first I thought I was crazy but as they grow I really appreciate it, they are really cool

$12.50ea for point of lay leghorn. Sold those 2 and a red star this spring for $8.33 ea, had the 2.50 star from chick.
