I have bought:

$30/egg for giant dewlap goose eggs (none ever hatched)

$75/for 6 bantam Houdan eggs

The quad of LS I bought from Greenfire was pretty expensive...as were the two bantam Orloff pullets (not too bad, I think $30/each +shipping) and then the pair of MFCs I think were close to $150 shipped...

Sold:

$20/per Sebbie egg

I usually get $25-$75 per show-potential to proven SQ bird.

Most of the time though, I sell my culls for $10 or less just so I don't have to feed them anymore.

When I see eggs going for $200 or more...it makes me worry for those buying them. I wouldn't know what to do with those...besides maybe incubate them myself in my bra!

I mean, what if your power went out? OMG! LOL

3500 for a parrot.

150 for a good rooster and I sold birds for 75 each.... I also bought birds for 75 each and traveled a day to get em.

I guess it is what you want and are willing to pay for it. I spent hundreds of dollars on eggs in the winter to hatch... I am not above paying good money for something I want providing the quality is what I expect.

$315 for my Coronation Sussex and a total of $385 for my 2 shipments of Silver Sussex. But i did sell a juvenile pair of Coronations for $100 and then 4 pullets for $50 each from the original Coronation Sussex trio.

We just paid $285 not including shipping for a trio of MH SQ Jersey Giants. Cannot wait to get them!

but will have to because we probably won't have them until July, which will give my husband time to build another coop and run just for them.

This is Smudge, our $103.50 barred Cochin. We originally bought her for $3.50, but then she got a case of sour crop, and it broke my heart to think abut losing her, so we took her to the vet. Viola, my most expensive chicken! Since she was 1.7 ounces at the time, that makes her more valuable than an equal amount of gold!
