what is the point of a feeder if all they do is spill it?

I only have two pullets.

I put together a pvc feeder for the run - I moved it into the coop.

I bought this for the run:

It has a perforated bottom tray for awesome airflow. I hung it by both hook and post, the birds cannot tip it.

Well today was payday so I went to lowes bright and early. Here is what I did, works great and I watched them for about 90 minutes and hardly any mess!

Even the chicks can reach it so seems like everyone is happy, including me.
