Just paid $12.70 for a 50# bag of layer pellets from the Farmer's Co-op here. It's 16% protein.

As of now I pay around 9 to 12 bucks depending on how I have it mixed at the mill, it's a mash that is around 19% protein.
I'm feeding a mixture of Hubbard's Chick-En-Egg Concentrate, Ground Corn, Fish Meal, Alfalfa Meal and Ground Limestone (feed grade) and adding just enough of the Molasses, Wheat Germ Oil and Cod Liver Oil to cut the dust and bind it a little.

Central VA- 16% protein laying pellets: $14.75 for 50 lbs (southern states brand), their scratch mix: $11.75 for 50 lbs. CRAZY!

I use Purina Layer crumbles or DuMore Layer Crumbles (depending on which is cheaper). Normally its about $13.95 a bag .... sometimes $12.95.
