What is the purpose of raising quail?

I have one pure A & M (my only roo) he looks like a lil dove

Just last Sunday I made deviled quail eggs for a church potluck. They were all gone very quickly. I got all good comments. Very yummy!

Yes they are all A&M, and most are pure white, some black does show up every now and then.

I'm more interested in the A & M's because they are light meat birds. Spots don't bother me.
