What is the strangest thing your chickens ate? Mine just ate crawfish Monica and aligator tail

My hens have eaten toads, snakes, mice, and even part of a dead turkey the dogs fond.
alas! they never touch lady bugs or stink bugs!

Eggs. If we have eggs we are not sure when they were laid, we just toss them into the run and they mob around and gobble them up shells and all. They do not seem to care if it is cooked or uncooked. This first happened when we dropped an egg when collecting. They immediately swarmed it and gobbled it all down in a matter of seconds.

Salmon Skin off the barbeque. They love it.

We once accidentally left a trash bag outside, the chickens got into it and ate anything they could get down their gullet. Kitty litter, confetti, every bit of food. One tried to eat a piece of wire, but I pulled it back out. They are kind of like goats I think.

My grandfather used to put a kernel of corn on a string and let a chicken eat it. Then he would pull it back out and the chicken woudl eat it again, over and over. I guess that was Iowa entertainment for kids in the old days.
Feeding raw egg is asking for them to start eating all the eggs in my book, but do what ya want after all it's your flock. Mine love fermented mice, they fall in the fermented mash and make agood treat. I watched a frog jump into a run, bad mistake. The one I hated was silicone sealant. I was sealing a dripping nipple waterer and watched them later pick it off and eat it. I had carcass beatles this year eating my tomatoes so I grabbed all the ones that had holes in them and tossed them in the run. Hard to say if the beatles were the favorite part but it gave me revenge watching them fight over them and eat them.

Mice, snakes, lizards and one time, a plastic fishing worm. I admit, I used to tie a plastic worm to the end of my fishing line then toss the "worm" into the group of chickens. When they would start coming after it, I'd reel it in as fast as I could. They would chase it for hours. I had to quit when they got fast enough to catch it. Hours of entertainment.

Oh my, fermented mice!

I would think that could wreck the mash but it doesn't for you? Do you use the whole batch or just drain & keep using? No off smells? :S
