We have raised several different varieties of cochins and they are big, laid back babies. From the time my child was big enough to walk up until now, none of them have ever tried to bother her and she has toted many of them all over the farm.

i vote for salmon faverolles! i loooove my bantams! one girl i have loves to let me pick her up and nuzzle her neck. she will fall asleep when i hold her and stroke her neck feathers, she doesn't mind being petted on her back and even runs up to me to be picked up or to jump in my lap. i have 3 of them and all will come running over to me for attention. one has even gone broody for me and just hatched out 4 healthy little chicks for me this past week!

i'd say most anything that has feathered feet have had wonderful personalities. brahmas, cochins, silkies, faverolles, and especially the d'uccles. (try teaching the kids to say that one has got to be funny!)
