What is the ultimate BEST hatcher?

I don't know about the ultimate hatcher, but a separate hatcher will keep the setter clean and relatively sterile. Access for cleaning is important. Combo units are the norm and do well if you set egg at least a week apart. Building a custom hatcher will allow you to incorporate the design features you require. A well designed incubator/hatcher will recover temp and humidity in several minutes after being opened. As a rule the hatcher should remain closed during the hatch window, usually 12 to 24 hrs after the first pip, but I don't personally stress over it.

Very nice-looking units.
