What is this bug in my coop????

I don't think it's lice either - that's good news...or so I hope.

I will need to get a better photo. I think my husband's camera is better so I'll get it from him when he gets home and then I'll repost. Thanks all

I've never seen silverfish nor lice with wings. They look like a tiny termite but ours are much bigger. I've also seen flying ants too, but those are much bigger. If you can put some in a jar and take it to your county farm advisor or Master Gardener's desk, they will identify them for you. Good luck!

Referring to the County Agricultural Extension Office. A government agency which helps farmers, especially by providing information and expertise. Most states have them. In WI where I live, the extension office is affiliated with the Unversity of Wisconsin so they are sometimes referred to as the "UW-Extension".

Hope Cornell can help you. From the second pic I can see the wings. Looks very ant or termite-ish like some people have suggested. They are sooo tiny tho! I'll be interested if you find out what it is! if I get a chance I'll take your pic down to my local extension (i work in the same building) and see if they can give any ideas.

To me the look almost like a grain or flour weevil.
