    Looks like an old English game bantam, beautiful bird. 8 years old and STILL laying? Wow. Has she ever gone broody? Don't want to hijack the thread here... :oops:

    If you say the word "broody" she will go broody. She's raised many chicks.

    I was asking because a friend has an OEGB that looks identical to your hen. She is only two and has already gone broody several times, she is incredibly friendly too.
    They are a really neat breed. [​IMG]

    Actually I have hens that are 11 years old and still laying.
