What is this color pattern called(cat)?

There are rare male calicos, but they aren't worth anything (it's usually caused because the cat is xxy instead of xy, they are also generally sterile), well anything more then any other pet cat.

Right all the "male" calicos I've ever heard of end up being hemphrodites. So not even really male at all.

I have only ever heard of one "male calico". My vet was telling me about him. He said that he was the only male calico he had ever seen and he nutered him. My vet is in his 60s and he had the cat in his 20s or 30s. I dont remember how old he said he was.

Tortis are females, it has to do with the coloring on the double X chromosomes; some color is taken from one X, some color is taken from the other X-->why get the "mosaic" of a cat (same with calicos)

I think either gender can be a tortoiseshell - it's the Calico that can only be female.

Torties are just three different mixed up colors in their coat.

I would have to agree that the OP's cat is a tabby.

I thought if a cat had three colors it was always female?

Sorry, tortoiseshells are almost always female. And that's not the pattern. He's a tabby, very cute. We have one that looks a lot like him. We have a muted tortoiseshell, also.
