Thanks for all your responses! She is not acting like her normal self. She won't eat her BSF larvae. She was too easy to catch too. She was acting normal and eating well last night however.

If you are able, get the calcium citrate. Tums is calcium carbonate and works much slower and is harder to digest. Your hen is behaving the way she is because there is very likely more material in her oviduct that has to come out. Once it's out, her behavior will improve dramatically.

We are getting some now. Should I give it to her right away even though I gave her half a tums not that long ago? I don't want to give her too much.

Give it to her right away, the whole tablet. I don't think that and the Tums will cause any harm.

Calcium requires overdosing for months, even years, before adverse effects materialize. You are only going to be giving her this calcium supplement for a few days at most.

She is still not acting like herself but did drink water with some nutri-drench. Not eating though. She just passed a tiny shell-less egg with the yolk on the outside laying next to it. And another membrane looking section like before. It didn't smell bad. Does that sound like the lash egg situation? I was also able to get her some calcium citrate and gave her that too.

That's progress. Keep giving her calcium 600mg or more each day as long as she is behaving lethargic. She likely still has some material that needs to be expelled.

Does it appear she's left some egg yolk inside her? Or did it look like the yolk spilled from the egg after it came out? Watch for any sign of yolk dribbling from her vent or mixed with poop. That's a sign she will need an oral antibiotic if yolk broke inside. It would start growing bacteria, and you would want ot head off a serious infection.
