What is this creature?

    I found this nest in a small hole in the ground, there were 4of these weird looking things in it.
    Does anyone know what they are?

    Strange looking, aren't they? They're star-nosed moles. Babies.

    yep baby star nose moles, highly distructive to tubers and plant roots. but eats grubs and some of the nastier bugs.

    seen them all the time when I lived on the farm. Barn cats love to eat them!

    My Dad calls them voles but not sure if that is a proper term for those star nosed moles.

    They'll eat you outta house and home and make more of themselves just to spite you next summer!

    These were found at my recreational property so they get to live out there.
    If they are pests, then there will just be more food for the coons, coyotes and hawks.
