It’s on her neck. I gave her a bath today, and let warm water run over for several minutes. It didn’t seem to affect it much. Nothing came off of it. I put the purple stuff on it.

Chicken pus id different then ours. It hard like a rock. The stuff Wyorp recommended will also soften what looks to be a scab then you should , hopefully be able to remove the infection.

So y’all think it will be okay to try and remove the growth/scab? I don’t want to hurt her any more than I have to, but if I can help her I definitely want to

You can soak it for a while w/ warm water, I would add something ? Wyorp ? to the water or saline it will soften then it should come off easy.

the purple stuff isnt good for much except hiding it from other chickens. Triple antibiotic on it w/o the pain reliever in it. for a couple days should soften the scab up if you want to wait.
