Now I don't know what to do; do I use the peroxide or not??? lol some say use it, some say don't because it will make it worse.

Well Then I would Just use the antibiotic ointment Once if you want tomake everyone happy.
Im no vet, but ive delt with this sort of stuff alot in my own flock or helping others, and ive always applied peroxide once just so i dont have to worry about infection, but the ointment can do that too i guess

You can just use some saline solution to flush it well so any debris can be washed away and then gently pat dry and add the ointment. I wouldn't use the hydrogen peroxide as it destroys some of the tissue but its not a big crisis on a small wound. If you don't have Betadine on hand (I would use that diluted) it may be a good idea to have the Betadine around for future use just for these types of emergencies. If you don't have saline its just distilled water and a tiny bit of salt. Plain room temp water can be used in a pinch but it may sting more.

OK thanks everyone!

After examining the other side under her wing, I found that there was another puncture hole but it was healed over. So it is one of our roosters who is doing it because she has one hole on each side in a similar spot (and they are both where a rooster's feet/spurs would likely go).

Thanks again-I think I will try the saline flush (water/salt) with a syringe. Then I will put the ointment on and maybe put some gauze over it, but maybe not since it's under her wing and should be pretty protected from anything getting into it.
