Hello everybody
One of my young Maran girls gave me this egg today. It was very small and had this on the inside. Does anybody know what this is?

I think eggs like that are called "lash eggs."
I'm sure there's an article somewhere that talks about them, but I don't have the link handy.

If all the birds are acting healthy, I would just wait and see if you get any more eggs like that. Lots of weird things happen as pullets are starting to lay, and most of the weird thing just solve themselves.

Was the egg well shelled?
Was there any yolk inside?
The piece of tissue likely sloughed off and the body formed an egg around it.
A version of a fart egg.

I’m not sure which one of the pullets laid the egg. But everyone looks fine and healthy.

It was shelled, but the shell was not very hard. There was a tiny yolk inside.
