What is this?? *Item found in creek bed*

We have found quite a few things in our creek, arrow heads, fossilized shells.
Now we find this???? I thought it was just random junk (Not discounting that theory yet), but it just seems too weird.
The inside has all sorts of weird passages, looks like wrinkled leather or wood, feels and sounds kinda like stone.

Fossilized something? Random trash, malformed piece of wood-like stuff?

Tooth for sure, ridges and rings. Also proper length. Could be old, but not a fossil. Bring it to someone who studies these things, find out! Neat!
