WHAT IS THIS??? MYSTERY BIRD pics!

That does look a little like it. I just can't figure out why it looks so weird. I do think it looks like a chicken but does it look a little bit "off" to anyone else? I thought about it being a guinea also... I think the Phoenix is probably pretty close to being it... I just don't know what it is about it that is throwing me off. Maybe it is the neck feathers. Those are pretty weird

Could it be moulting?

I say rule out turkey completely, that thing has no snood.

I'm almost 100% positive it's a chicken. Looks like it doesn't have a tail, blue legs, funny colored... EE. My almost positive guess. The more I look at it, the more I think yes.

this CHICK is an american game chicken possibly hatch blueleg or straight blueleg .these are bloodline names. it is very independent because most of those gamebirds are raised survival of the fittest and will care for itself at a very young age. i have one that is almost identical.sorry no pics available.

X2 Certain lines of American game fowl are bred for blue legs. Some say this color comes from Jungle Fowl ancestry. Game chicks are feisty, independent, and can get airborne as early as 2 weeks if properly motivated.

Google (Images) American Game fowl blue leg and check out all those blue legged game birds.
