What is this?? not compleatly absorbed yolk???

It looks like a herniated naval to me. I had one chick hatch a few days ago that looked like that. I didn't do anything special to her and she is doing just fine so far. I read that you can put antibiotic cream on it but I didn't do that. I have kept her in a very clean area with her hatch mates. I was afraid that the other chicks might pick at it but so far they have left it alone. Mine is eating and drinking just fine.

Hope that helps.

I had a chick die because it had something similar looking. In my case it appears it was intestines. I have learned the rooster is related to the hens so I assume that is the cause. There were unhatched chicks with intestines outside their bodies but this one managed to hatch and died three days later.

she is at the bottom of the pecking order, and the only one who doesn't peck her is the chick that hatched on the same day.
so ya, she got a little pecked on her toes and beak but not at the bump thing
