I'm hoping that maybe he (unknowingly) hatched from a double-yolker egg and that's not HIS yolk.

Yes, wrap the baby up in a moist, really wet paper towel..like a gyro
Sometimes it helps is you then stick in a cup or bowl..yes, they can then absorb it..or most of it

It doesn't hurt trying

I had one I did that with..it absorbed it ..very weak and never did I think it would make it..it absorbed in 24 hours

What your trying to do is making the paper towel like the shell of the egg ..please though make sure it's head is uncovered and keep warm...this is why it's very important that the paperowel is very wet

After 24 hours..it was dragging..lots of hand feeding, water, sugar, vitamins..by day 4 finally moved around, then it's legs because it would just sit on it's butt

And yes..not only did it survive..but turned out to be the only frizzle and the rooster...heheheh

He is now almost 2 months old

sometimes when a chick hatches, it hasn't fully absorbed the yolk. just leave it be and it will eventually fall off or be absorbed. just don't try to pull it off-it could start to bleed.

Ouch! Poor little guy. Just what everyone else saisd, wrap him in a damp cloth and don't let it dry out, and make sure nobody else pecks at him. Good luck!

I had one like that last year, probably caused by my over eager 'helping out' when she was slow to hatch. She absorbed the yolk after 12 hours and made it okay.
