Thank you!! He’s an EE as well...Very pretty! I have to point out your handsome roo in the background, I've got a soft spot in my heart for handsome roos!![]()
Absolutely makes sense! I know that they don't have an "appearance standard", she just doesn't look like most of the EE's I've seen and didn't know if she was a mix or different breed all-togetherIf I remember right, an EE is any chicken that lays a green egg and isn't an Auracana or Ameraucana. Because I have one EE that is smooth bodied, pale colors, no beard or muffs. But then I had an EE that looked like an Ameraucana, she just had green legs.
Does that make sense at all..? EE is not a "breed" with appearance standards. They just have to lay green eggs.
Wasn't sure because of the great difference in appearance that she has to my other EE's, but happy to knowA Easter Egger is not actually a breed of chicken, it is just a hybrid that lays green eggs, so yes, this is a Easter egger.
Thank you for the visual! All of my EE's have definite muffs and beards, she just my first that does not! I'm excited about her nonethelessHere is a picture of 3 EE full sisters. one has no beard or muff. all lay either green or blue eggs. EE's a beautiful little mutt chickens and who the heck knows what all they are bred with. have many breeds in their backgrounds so produce many coat patterns and colors. second picture is EE's hatched this year with a barred rock sire to several. some have muffs and beard some don't. Not laying yet so don't know what eggs I will get.
