What is this thing??

So one of my turkeys got killed two nights ago. I would post the pic of how I found her, thinking that may help people figure out what the predator was, but I’m not sure if I’m allowed. Anyways my dad caught a rather bad photo of something yesterday evening. One of the only characteristics that he mentioned was that it had deep inset eyes.

While the photo is very bad, my dad was rather close to it. It wasn’t a dog. He said he thought it was a ground hog at first, but you can pretty much tell from the photo it’s not.

My first thought was groundhog, maybe an otter?

I know it looks a lot like a dog, but dad was pretty positive that it wasn’t. We only have 2 neighbors in a 5 mile radius. Any dog that has ever came up doesn’t easily disappear like this thing did. He was 50 ft away when he took the photo. Began to creep closer while watching for it to run out into a clearing, but it never did.
