Oh great, I'm going to pick her up everyday until she no longer protests then... I just came in from holding her again and this time she hardly complained... in fact she hung around me while the others went off to eat bugs in the horse coral.... maybe I will start offering her some chopped apple while I hold her.... she's the one that should lay first...boy is she pretty....

What does it mean when the hen puffs out their neck feathers? I have been picking up the hen with the most red and big waddles, she puffs up her neck feathers big time....

oh that's so funny.... I went out and picked her up again and held her again, I always hold her until she is very calm and happy.... this time she didn't complain much at all.....maybe she's getting used to it..... one of these hens was in the middle of the coral and made this great big sounds, I've never heard that before... maybe she was doing the egg song that people talk about.....just maybe I might get an egg soon!!
