These two chickens above ‘both’ ‘have’ FOWL POX

Looks like scabs from fighting to me too. If you wet your fingers and rub them, does it rub away like dried blood. Fowl pox is usually more wart like lesions from what I have seen. I'm not sure those photos you posted are typical of fowl pox. I'll see if I can find some better ones..... here we go....

Welcome to BYC. It looks to me like pecking wounds which normally look jet black. Pox, on the other hand is tan to dark brown scabs from mosquitoes spreading the virus.

Fowl pox looks more like this:

Who would he of been fighting with ? He’s the only rooster in the flock, as the OP stated.

From a person that has raised hens for 15 years and is training to be a small pet vet. From my point of view that Is fowl pox. I have seen it and I have helped others out with it.

I highly doubt the hens ‘beat up’ this rooster. The OP has never stated the age of this rooster or when they got this rooster. I don’t see how you can just assume that the hens are beating up this rooster wothout witnessing it. If the OP had witnissed this behavior I am sure they would of stated that in their post but they did not!

does anybody know what this is on my little guy? It just suddenly appeared. If you know what it is is it treatable?
He is the only rooster, he is a bantam and there are 8 hens. It is Summer here so not frostbite...
Thanks in advance!
Welcome to BYC.
First see if it washes off... recently someone had a bird that looked exactly like this and it was nothing more than dirt.
