They were designed for loose hay, However if you stack the bales properly you could lift 8-10 bales with them.We're they used for picking up bales or loose hay?

I've been awful worried this might happen some day.I see yours has three little eggs under it...Has it ever went broody and tried to hatch them?
I have some of those too, but they are in the shed. I avoid putting them with the Female headless spider so she doesn't hatch them.
Yep. Ya gotta be an old fart like us to know what these things areIf your not well over 50 like Shaw and I, you would never have a chance to play on them,,,,,They were replaced in the 60s with bale elevators.
