We're they used for picking up bales or loose hay?

They were designed for loose hay, However if you stack the bales properly you could lift 8-10 bales with them.

I see yours has three little eggs under it...Has it ever went broody and tried to hatch them?

I have some of those too, but they are in the shed. I avoid putting them with the Female headless spider so she doesn't hatch them.

I've been awful worried this might happen some day.

A sediment bulb.. it is like a pre filter. It’s main function is to catch water.
