I can't tell what this is! Is there a chance it broke? It's obviously infected, but I can't find a site wound. I've cleaned it, disinfected, isolated, neosporin, and vitamin water.

That appears to be an injury that has become infected. The patient likely injured the leg trying to fly up to a perch too high or without enough room to flap wings for adequate lift. After tending to the wound, that needs to be addressed.

Coincidentally, I am currently treating a rooster for the exact same thing, and it's very difficult. Here's my thread. https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...lastic-tumor-update-injury-not-tumor.1543307/

You will need to soak the leg and then debride, pulling all infected tissue off. Then put a good amount of antibiotic ointment on it and bandage. This is the hard part. The leg if of such varied diameter, the bandage will have the tendency to slip down off the wound, and the chicken may also succeed in tearing the bandage off.

I use a non-stick gauze pad over the wound and then I wrap the leg from the top down, beginning high up on the thigh, ending at the middle of the shank. The trick is to wrap tightly but not so much it cuts off circulation.

An oral antibiotic may also be of help if you have any around.

That's actually super helpful! Thank you for taking the time to reply! After further investigation, I've noticed he's covered in what looks like follicle cysts?!
