What is this????

my new hen is showing signs of being sick but im not sure what it is she about 4 months and is a golden campain hen. she has discarge from her nose and runny poop also she was bleeding down by her vent. she eats fine but likes to sleep and her feathers look really dull. anyone know what this could be????

You might have two issues going on. The sleepiness, ruffed feathers... Might be coccidia, I use Corid to treat it. The runny nose could be a respitory illness...which is a major problem as chickens don't get colds..they get viruses that don't have a cure, just treatment of symptoms and can spread very easily to your other birds. Tylan 50 injectable for cattle is the preferred med. both meds can be found at Tractor supply. The bleeding by the vent..is that an injury or from her poo..as coccidia can cause blood in poo. If it is an injury the others may be picking at her because she is weak..and they could kill her. Keep her seperated far away from others.....or better yet give her back to who you got her from ( I know how easy it is to get attached however).... Clean everything she touches and handle her last. Do a search on illnesses so you fully understand what you will be dealing with...
