WHAT is up with Kane's ears??????????????? PICS ADDED

Unless you're planning on showing him, what's the worry? I'd just be thanking my lucky stars he and his brother are healthy and doing well, there's a lot worse that can happen than having floppy ears!

Because one of the things that my DH loves most about the looks of a GSD is the erect ears.

Because it is just one of the things you worry about.

Yeppers. GSDs are supposed to have erect ears. If they don't stand you'll spend the dog's lifetime answering questions about what kind of dog he is.

Let's look at it from a puppy perspective. He gets removed from his home and driven far away. The people seem to be wonderful and kind. There is a big brother to teach him the ropes...life is good. Then mom gets sick, but he doesn't worry too much cause dad is there, then dad gets sick..and then suddenly DAD ISN'T THERE! and who is this person letting me out/ not letting me out...mom is gone... then mom and dad are back...

He's just confused and worried. He is showing it in his ears. He isn't a stupid dog. He knows what's up...and it's not his ears. It will all be better real soon.

Bear did that for over a year. We always thought it was because it took too much concentration from Doofus to keep his ears up. When he was distracted, they would fall over. He is 7 now, and still flops occasionally. I don't have the bloodline you do, but Bear is a pure GSD. Some GSD's simply forget they are not poodles.
