what is wrong with giving RAW eggshells ?

Hi.

I feed out my crushed, raw egg shells all the time. Never a problem with egg eaters or illness. Of course oyster shell is available at all times. I also like to keep it simple.

Anyone know if roos or chicks will access the egg shell even thought they leave the OS alone?

Thank you. Puts the "they saids" to rest.

I've never had issue with chicks or roos pigging out on egg shell. IMO, if they do, no harm done. If calcium load were such a concern, we'd see a lot of free range birds on dialysis, or they'd be dropping dead simply from enjoying their free range greens.
