What is wrong with my baby chick ? Please help

Hello,
I have 4 two weeks old austrolarps. Yesterday I noticed the smallest of all has been acting very lethargy the last couple days and her dropping was runny and bloody. I immediately separated her from the rest of the chicks and keep her inside the house where I can keep a close eye on her . I made sure she drank some water . I googled her symptoms and for what I read she might have coccidiosis. I got her some Corrid and I am giving her 1/2 tsp in 1 Qt of water . She is not drinking much so I have to bring her to the water and made her drink some . I gave her some treats last night and she eat some . Is there any suggestions out there please ? My concern is that she is so little she doesn’t drink much , how can I make sure she gets enough medication ?

Keep encouraging her to drink, and hopefully the cocci have not damaged her too much and she will soon respond. Mash a hard boiled egg and offer some of that to her. Good luck.

If you have liquid Corid, give her 2 drops of the concentrate directly into her beak twice a day as well as the medicated water until she starts to pick up. If you have the powder, dissolve 1.5 teaspns into 2 teaspoons of water and give her a couple of drops of that in the same manner

Do a drench dose directly to her beak as suggested.

And make sure you aren't giving vitamins during treatment or the Corid may not work as intended.

In would treat them all, she is just the first to show symptoms.

Dropping getting in water is one of the fastest ways it spreads. But I have had my shaving be wetter underneath than they appeared on top. All have been exposed already. Separation is not need unless she is being trampled or picked on.

I had to force mine to drink with a syringe.

Better to just give them just a couple of drops of concentrated medicine with a dropper than risk them aspirating by trying to syringe larger quantities of fluids into them, in my opinion.

I used a dropper and as soon as I put the drop touching her beak she drank it . I really hope she recovers. Thanks to all for your advice . The other three seems to be fine(very active baby chicks) but I’ll put the medication in their water too just in case .
