Hmmmm....you could always go to Target and get a dozen of those towel bathmats. Just throw them in the laundry after every use. More towels to wash, but no kitty pee!

Have you tried urinary tract health formula cat food? It couldn't hurt, although it doesn't sound like that's the problem at all. I think she just likes to pee on wet bath mats. Cat's are weird sometimes. I had one that would only go in her litter box, or on a pile of bills. While I appreciated the gesture....it was still a pain in the behind!

Oh I feel for you all... My cats are generally good except my oldest cat will(and always has) pee on 1) plastic bags and 2) my husband's dirty clothes on the floor(and he's the one that doesn't really like cats)

. Occassionally she'll find something else in the house that doesn't suit her and she'll pee on that too.

After my cats are gone I am never getting any more. I'll stick to dogs - he's never had an accident in the house since he was a puppy(except the time he ate too much ham at easter and got terrible diarrhea

- my fault I know).
Of course, I know some cute little kitten will come to my door and totally destroy my resolve.

Our new Siamese kitten Willa was pooping on my parents' bed for a while... they took away the sheets, cleaned them three times, and used different ones for two weeks or so. No more accidents! Try removing the mats and cleaning them multiple times, then put them back after a while.

I can go and buy some cat feed that would take care of the UTI. She didn't care for the expensive brands of food, ProPlan, Iams, Science Diet or the blue bag of Purina Cat Chow (she lost weight on it). I will find a Purina UTI and see how it goes for her so she would not have any problems. I can not give her any fish because she would be diarrhea-ing all over the place. Beef and chicken would do.

My friend had sent me a much more detailed article from the same web site, but i can't find it now, on why your cat might be peeing outside the litter box. It had a lot to do with the cat's fastidious behavior, and the feel of the litter or pee area on the cat's paws, as well as UTIs, territoriality, etc.
